Inventor of the Earvana Tempered Tuning System

Rick has been in the entertainment industry since 1960 as a neighorhood kid in the hit TV series Ozzie and Harriet! Growing up in Southern California Rick was exposed to music and got involved in several different bands in the 70's and is still playing today. Rick currently is a working musician and plays bass guitar for a local country rock band called "Overland Stage Band".

Rick played bass for several country rock and roll bands in Los Angeles and Orange County. Most noteworthy is Comstock and Jim Seal and Swiftkick from 1973-1983. Jim Seal and Swiftkick had several Top 40 singles on the country charts. They toured to Alaska, Wyoming and played extensively in Southern California playing venues like the Palamino and Crazy Horse. Mike Curb was their promotor back then. Mike now owns Curb Records and has artists such as Tim McGraw and Lee Greenwood under his label. www.curb.com

Rick started the research and development on the Earvana Compensated Tuning System in 1988. He decided to proceed with the tuning system on electric and acoustic guitars first and then branch out into all stringed, fretted instruments later.

Soon after, Rick refined the system to include a compensated saddle for a precision set-up for acoustic guitars called the Earvana Acoustic Compensated Saddle. The saddles are individually machined from the finest Corian-type material for tusk-like tone while producing slip lubrication properties superior to graphite.
